Oh my goodness this is beautiful! I LOVED the writing about country life and then suddenly I stumbled upon myself! Thank you so much for the beautiful things you have said about my work and most of all I WISH we had met when I was living in America!
Your writing has woken me up, Clover! It’s marvelous. Thank you so much. I wish we weren’t passing ships - look me up if you come back stateside and we can ride!
Hi, Katie! It’s good to hear your attic thoughts again.
I’m going to play my 300th open mic on Tuesday, June 23rd, and I might perform at a paid gig in July. I’m also seeing 3 concerts in July, The Pretty Reckless, Paul Simon, and Bob Dylan.
I have been loving watching 2 of my boys play baseball! We aren't a sports family generally, but this one works for us, and I love watching them figure out how to work as a team. I'm in the middle of reading the Lost City of the Monkey God by Douglas Preston. It's non-fiction about the search for a Central American archaeological site that reads like action/adventure/thriller. I've been recommending it all over the place!
Enjoyed this catch up post! Our fam is outdoorsy in a more camping/hiking kind of way but I love reading about your farm. Our summer days consist of long afternoons at the neighborhood pool, lots of popsicles, 90s summer flicks, and time at the beach.
Best movie so far? Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead..."I'm right on top of that Rose!"
this sounds like the ideal summer!! reminds me so much of being a kid when you’d be so tired after a full afternoon in the sun at the pool and eating popsicles all night watching movies. absolutely peak.
