I love the LOC!! I’ve never been behind the scenes, but growing up in the DC metro area, I loved visiting there. The Great Hall has so many amazing mosaics and the exhibits are super interesting too (and free!!) If you ever have the chance to visit the Folger Shakespeare Library, it’s only three blocks away from the LOC and very interesting in its own right!
Somehow I completely missed visiting the LOC during the two years I lived in DC for graduate school. Such a shame! I LOVE the Folgers -- I saw a performance of A Winter's Tale there that was truly mind blowing.
