I don't know if this qualifies as "what Era I am" but I do know that my favorite album is unequivocally Red, with honorable mention to Lover. I was in need of a good breakup album in 2012 and Red is nothing if not a good breakup album (honorable mention to Wild Hope by Mandy Moore, which my best friend mailed me on CD at just the right time because she knew I needed that one too). I completely missed the boat on folklore and evermore because I did not have the emotional bandwidth for new music in 2020-21, but I've been telling myself I need to give Midnights another pass before TPD comes out. Guess I better get on that!!

Red is the BEST breakup album or honestly just great for any angry/angsty/heartbroken times. I love it too. Midnights was one I didn't like much at first but it's now the one I play on repeat. Definitely worth a revisit.

Love this! Can’t wait to listen to the episode. I love Taylor Swift’s music and can’t wait for the new album. As to my current era…I’m not sure. But lately I’ve been loving 1989(TV) which surprised me, since I wasn’t a huge fan when the album originally came out in 2014, but I love the re-record and vault songs!

I've definitely found there are albums that I love more when I listen to them years later. It's amazing with her archive how you can find exactly the right album for the right time! Thanks so much for tuning in Taylor! And happy album release day!

Hi, Katie! I really enjoyed the episode and the discussion that you and Rachel had (I wished I could take part in it too).

Incidentally, I made a short Spotify playlist of clean versions of some of Taylor's explicit songs, including "Snow On The Beach" (both with Lana Del Rey and with More Lana Del Rey). The playlist is called "Taylor's Clean Versions." I had to actively search for the clean versions of the songs, but I found them. I just wish that Spotify listed the clean versions of the albums right next to the regular/explicit versions when you click on Taylor's Spotify artist page.

So glad you enjoyed the episode Penelope! And this is so great, I'm going to save this playlist for sure :) Happy Album release day!!

Thank you, Katie! Happy Album Release Day to you too!

I may add clean versions of explicit songs from "THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT" to the "Taylor's Clean Versions" playlist in the near future (the playlist is attributed to my ridiculously long Spotify username "europaandromedathomas").

I loved this episode, and I especially appreciated how you drew out the broader ramifications of Taylor's influence on the culture. You put words to how I have felt many times while listening to her music - mainly, how universal it is and how I feel like I've grown up with her. Right now, I'm in a Reputation era (I just feel pumped up when I listen to it, plus it has my favorite "track 5"!), but I am also partial to 1989, Lover, and her new album!

Hi, Katie! I can't wait to listen to this episode, and I can't wait for Taylor's new album (Which she's releasing just in time for my birthday! Thanks for the great gift, Tay!) I'm totally the "evermore" era.
