Oh my gosh he's adorable. Happy birthday Tango! I also had the growing-up TBs and competition mindset - I dream of someday having the space and money to have a horse like Tango and just get back to being a girl who loves horses <3
They would love Colorado! They live all over the USA. Tango struggles some in the humidity here in MD in July and August and his shedding out this spring was epic, but he's perfectly content here on the East Coast. I imagine the dry heat and winters in CO would be ideal!
Solheimar Farm in VT is who imported mine and Sigrun (the trainer/owner) is an amazing resource. Imported horses (like Tango) are more prone to sweet itch and some other challenges like that but other people will say USA bred Icelandics aren't the 'same' without the wild upbringing in Iceland. It's a small Icelandic community in the US, but everyone is very passionate, so as you start searching around i'm sure you'll find your niche!

Good to know. Thanks! Now I just need to convince my husband! Any recommendations of breeders to buy one from?
